There are a lot of powerful new features we’ve added to RoboDK. Here are 15 new updates that you might have missed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

This year, we are celebrating a momentous year at RoboDK \u2014 our 10-year anniversary! With this milestone, we have announced some exciting new directions for RoboDK, including our Add-in Marketplace<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But we are also always adding to RoboDK’s core features. We have also added a bunch of new functions and updates over the past months that you might have missed since our last feature update<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here are 15 of the top features and updates added recently:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Fairino Post Processor Brings Easy Programming to a Growing Brand<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

New robot brands enter the industry every year. We recently added support for the Belgian cobot company Fairino with a new post-processor and addition of 5 new models in our Robot Library<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fairino<\/a> has established itself as a provider of cost-efficient, flexible collaborative robots for diverse industrial environments. Their cobots are certified with CE, CR, and the lS09001 Quality Management System.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Enhanced Textures with GLTF Object File Support<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Our recently added support for GLTF object files<\/a> allows you to import textured 3D models, making simulations more visually appealing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GLTF, often referred to as the “JPEG of 3D,” is a royalty-free file specification designed for the efficient handling of 3D scenes, textures, and models.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. RoboDK in Polish \u2014 Expanding Language Support<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If you didn’t know, RoboDK already supports 17 different languages from French to Chinese.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the addition of Polish to our growing list of translations, we continue our mission to make ensuring everyone’s experience of RoboDK as seamless and user-friendly as possible, no matter what language you use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. Dedicated Drivers for Annin Robotics<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Annin Robotics<\/a> is another robot brand that has been growing in recent years with an interesting open-source approach to robotic hardware.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With new drivers for Annin robots and 3 new models in our Robot Library<\/a>, RoboDK now supports these low-cost robots. You can even print the robots yourself with 3D printing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. Precision Programming with the IGUS Post Processor<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

IGUS is a renowned company in the robotics industry, famous for its innovative motion plastics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our recently added IGUS post processor unlocks programming possibilities for the company’s low-cost, high-functionality robots, as well as a new model of its ReBeL robot<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6. KUKA SPL Movements for Structured Programming<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

KUKA SPL (Spline) movements<\/a> are designed to create smooth, continuous paths for the robot, avoiding abrupt changes in velocity or direction. You can think of them like a virtual “rubber band” that flexibly connects different motion segments, ensuring seamless transitions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

KUKA users can now import and use SPL movements directly in RoboDK, offering extra control over trajectory planning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

7. Dozens of Improvements in Post Processors<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

RoboDK post processors<\/a> are the bridge between your robot program and the physical robot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have recently added dozens of improvements to post processors for various robot brands, including Motoman, ABB, Fanuc, KUKA, Hyundai, and many more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

8. Smoother Machining with G-Code Enhancements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

G-Code<\/a> is a core technology for robotic machining, ensuring that the robot moves precisely along the desired toolpaths.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recent updates extend RoboDK’s handling of even complex G-code configurations, such allowing for mixed speeds between arcs and rapid movements, and improving parsing for commands like G02 and G03.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

9. New-Generation Robot Calibration Statistics Report<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

RoboDK’s calibration statistics report<\/a> provides an easy way to see how much the robot’s accuracy has improved after calibration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We recently added to this feature to bring even greater clarity to the calibration process, including adding enhanced data representation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
