I have noticed that none of the robot models in the RoboDK library match our KR 210 R3100-2 DH parameters.
I have followed the instructions to model it ourself but we cannot find a way to save the robot itself as a .robot to a local library to be used in other stations

Also, It might be better to simplify the robot geometry further to ease the collision checking computation or, as it is done on the Gazebo simulator, add an additional fully simplified mesh just for collision checking

I am attaching my robot station for you to compare

Hello,

In attempting to troubleshoot the attached program error on a Fairino cobot controller I noticed that the existing Fairino post uses a different command syntax than the most recent (V3.9.7, updated 6/25/2026) Lua script manual as found here: https://fairino-doc-en.readthedocs.io/la...intro.html

Specifically, SetToolCoord and SetWObjCoord are not referenced in the new manual, and while these commands are referenced by prior versions of the Lua manual, the function structure does not appear to match either.

Would you mind verifying if the Fairino (not Fairino db) post processor needs updating, and if this might be the source of my error? Thanks very much.

Hi,

I am working on a filament winding simulation in RoboDK.

My setup is:

- A 6-axis KUKA robot
- An additional rotary axis (E1) mounted directly on the robot wrist (A6)
- The mandrel is attached to this E1 axis

The key point is that this external axis is mounted on the robot flange (A6), not on the base.

The E1 axis is coaxial with A6, so from a kinematic perspective it could be merged into A6. However, I would like to keep it as an independent axis for control purposes.

 屏幕截图 2026-03-17 151956.png (Size: 246.06 KB / Downloads: 155)
My questions are:

1. Does RoboDK support adding an external axis directly on the robot flange (A6)?
2. If not, is there any recommended workaround to simulate this configuration?
3. Can this be achieved using the Python API by synchronizing a virtual axis?

My goal is to simulate coordinated motion where:
- The mandrel rotates continuously (E1)
- The robot mainly controls the tool orientation

Thanks in advance!

Would it be possible for RoboDK to add the standard OB7 robot to the library? Currently only the OB7 Max 8 is there.

Attached are the files that I received from Productive Robots. They referred me to RoboDK technical support for this.

Thanks
