3D Printing with the Fanuc driver and send E-Values using online Control

#1
Hello RoboDK Team,
currently i am trying to 3D-Print with a filament extruder with a Fanuc robot („ER-4iA/R30iB Mate Plus“), controlling it online from RoboDK.
To controll the extruder i need to constantly send out the E-Values to a external PLC while controlling the robot live throught RoboDK.
Is it possible to send out the E-values over Profinet, or the digital IO’s (FANUC IO-Link) while using a Robot Machining Project and controlling it online with RoboDK?
It would be great to know if the fanuc Post Prozessor from RoboDK can do that.

I would greatly appreciate your help.

You can customize your post processor to output any type of code to drive external actuators and sensors. You can find more information about how to customize post processors and an example here:

And a more practical example to filter specific functions here:

thanks for the reply.
But editing the Postprozessor only works for offline Programming right?
Or is the Porstporzessor although used while controlling th robot online through RoboDK?

Can I although use the editted Postprozessor while useing the dripfeed Option to the Fanuc Robot controller?
