Add Arduino Braccio to Robot Library

#1
Lightbulb
Hi,

We are currently creating a robotics educational course at our faculty (TUDelft Induacteial Design Engineering). For this we would like students to control RoboDK and Arduino Braccio (https://www.arduino.cc/en/Guide/Braccio)

Could you add Arduino Braccio to the RoboDK library? There is a ROS URDF available at https://github.com/jonabalzer/braccio_description

Thank you

Hi TuDelft colleague,

Is this question still valid?
If so, you can write me a pm and see what we can do.

Cheers

Hi,

I am trying to setup the Braccio arm 6 DoF as a new robot using the "6 axis industrial" profile from the "model new mechanism or robot" tool.

I have got close, but some rotations are misaligned. It seems this could be due to the offset/rotation of the axis.

Attached is the CAD of the Braccio. I ended up saving each axis individually files in attachments.

Attached is the full CAD from ufactory and the individual STEP files I saved out.

Please could someone offer some advice on how to add the model to RoboDK.

Thank you in advance,

/Herve

I'm sorry we took so long. We'll be adding the Arduino Braccio next week.

Hi Albert!
I am a teacher at two techical schools in Austria and we too would like to use RoboDK using Braccio as affordable hardware. Right know we have been starting to evaluate RoboDK.
Can you estimate when there will be a driver for the Braccio Robot?

Thank you very much

Do you have the 3D files of your robot (preferably STEP or IGES files)? We need it to add the robot arm to RoboDK. It would also help if you can provide a PDF sketch with dimensions and robot related information (payload, reach, etc).
