Blend Radius of JAKA Zu20

#1
Hello,

What minimum value of blend radius can I use for my robot programs? Currently, I am trying to 3D print square or rectangular objects but due to the blend radius being 1.0 mm, I am getting rounded corners. I have tried other values such as 0.05 or 0.5 mm by editing the post-processor but there is no improvement at all.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks!

You can set the blend radius to 0 or even -1 to disable it. You can do this in RoboDK by adding a rounding instruction at the top of your program:
  1. Select Program-select Set Rounding Instruction
  2. Set the value to -1
  3. Make sure to place the instruction at the top of your program

Thanks! Alternatively, can I just edit the post-processor?

Yes you can modify the post processor as well.

You can find more information about the parameters you can modify here:
https://robodk.com/post/JAKA

So you can set the BLEND_RADIUS_MM variable to 0 in your post processor to disable rounding.
