Cannot set up Python Interpreter/Editor on Mac OS

I'm finding it very difficult to configure the python interpreter needed for Mac OS, I can do it on windows but it's very difficult with a MAC.

Any ideas?

If you installed Python 3 you can simply enter python3 as the Python interpreter (in Tools-Options-Python).

I recommend you to install Python 3 separately from the official Python website.
