Difficulty with Importing a Custom 3D Model into RoboDK

#1
I’m new to RoboDK and I’m trying to import a custom 3D model (in .stl format) into the software for a project. However, when I try to load the model, it either doesn’t appear or the orientation seems completely off. I’ve tried adjusting the scale and rotating the model in a 3D viewer before importing, but it doesn’t seem to make a difference.
Has anyone experienced this issue, and is there a step I might be missing? Any tips on properly importing custom models into RoboDK would be greatly appreciated!

Can you share the 3D model file? What software did you use to generate it? How is it supposed to load?

I don't have the exact 3D model file with me right now, as I was experimenting with various models from different sources. I generated the models using a few different software tools, including Blender and Tinkercad.

The issue seems to persist across multiple files, where they either don’t load or appear misaligned. I’ve ensured that the models are saved in .stl format.

If you have any general tips or common pitfalls to avoid when importing models into RoboDK, I would greatly appreciate it!

The STL format is quite simple and we have never seen issues loading a STL file. If you can share the 3D model that is giving you issues we can better take a look.
