Hi,
We get more more assembly in STEP. These are beams with more welded parts.
Is there any method to find to contact lines or surfaces bettween the the beam and the parts? We need these for get welding geometries.

Do the weld paths of the parts follow a certain pattern?

For example, when you export using the IGES format you can export weld paths as curves and they will be loaded in RoboDK as curves.

Can you provide sample parts?

I attached an example Step and iges files.
No Certain pattern on the assembies, and the part size is from 1meter to 12m.

Taking a quick look at the files you shared, I don't see a straightforward solution to automatically select the desired weld paths as it looks a bit ambiguous. Unless you have specific criteria to choose the weld paths you'll need some sort of manual input to specify the paths that need to be welded.
