How to make the tool follow surface normals in 3D printing project?

#1
Hello,

I am curious to know if I can make the tool aligned with the surface normal during a 3D print project. If it is possible, I would love to hear:

1] What specific format should I import my object from SolidWorks?
2] Which particular options should I be manipulating?

Thanks.

When you import curves from SolidWorks using the plugin you should make sure you select the surface that you would like to use to calculate tool normals.

If you would like to do 3D printing you should use STL format and load it in your slicer software to obtain G-code.
