Issues with Weave Generation and Multipass Welding

#1
Dear RoboDK Support Team,

I am writing to request assistance with implementing advanced welding features in my current station setup. I am encountering issues specifically related to Weave Generation and Multipass Welding.
I have prepared and attached the problematic RoboDK station file for your direct review.
The main problems I am trying to resolve are:
  1. Weave Generation: I am having difficulty configuring the weave pattern to accurately follow the intended path geometry while maintaining the required parameters (amplitude, frequency, and orientation). The generated path often deviates or fails to create the weave motion correctly.
  2. Multipass Logic: The setup for generating sequential weld passes (e.g., root, fill, cap) is not behaving as expected, particularly when attempting to shift the subsequent passes correctly relative to the initial root pass.
Could you please analyze the attached station file and advise on the proper setup or workflow necessary to successfully implement both the weave motion and the multipass logic for this specific geometry?
If you require any further information or documentation from my side, please let me know.
Thank you for your prompt attention to this technical issue.

Sincerely,
Jayant

To address your issues about Weave Generation and Multipass Welding in RoboDK, we recommend using the Weave Generator Add-In:
https://robodk.com/addin/com.robodk.app.weavegenerator

This Add-in allows you to customize the weave pattern by adjusting parameters such as amplitude, frequency, and orientation to better follow your welded path geometry. For multipass welding, you can create sequential passes (root, fill, cap) by duplicating and shifting the passes as needed within RoboDK's programming environment.
