Hello Guys,

since I downloaded RoboDK yesterday, I watched hours of your nice toturials on youtube. In my opinion it's a very impressive software.

I try to Scan the surface of a part. I use the Solidworks Tool to export the Part and the curve to RoboDK. Is there an option to tell the Robot to keep the tool normal to the surface?

Thanks for the positive feedback.

To keep the tool normal to the surface, you need to select the surface just after selecting the curve in SolidWorks.

This tutorial is for the Inventor plugin, but both plugin work pretty similarly. That should help you with your project:
