Linear motion for 2 axis mechanisms

#1
Why can't roboDK figure out interpolation between linear and rotary axes to achieve simple linear motion??

This is intended behavior for 2 axis mechanisms.
#3
How is linear motion intended to be a curve?
#4
Linear movements for a 2-axis mechanism is treated as a joint movement in RoboDK.

One and two axis mechanisms are mostly used as positioners to extend the reach of a robot.

Thanks for reply.
Is there any workaround?
I'm planing to make a crane like 3d printer, should i just make my own kinematics and use roboDK just for 3d simulation with my inputs via API, or do you have any better suggestion?
Thanks.

If you have a CNC or 3D printer type of mechanism, linear movements with such a 3-axis mechanism or more axes should work.
