MAKE_ROBOT_5XCNC with offset between axes of rotation

#1
I'm trying to build a 5 DOFs robot: an XYZ stage, then an RZ and finally an RY stage. I managed so using the "MAKE_ROBOT_5XCNC" mechanism. In the system I'm trying to model however, the axes of rotation of the RZ and RY stages do not coincide (there should be an offset in X-direction), whereas they do coincide (by default) in the "MAKE_ROBOT_5XCNC" mechanism.

Is it possible to offset the RY axis from the RZ axis, perhaps using the robot parameters? Also, if there would be an illustration of the "MAKE_ROBOT_5XCNC" mechanism that would be useful; it does not appear in the list of mechanisms in the GUI.

Alternatively, what would you recommend? Stacking a 4DOFs AGV with a 1DOF rotative axis and synchronizing these two mechanisms?

Kind regards,

Maarten

I don't think it is currently possible to have this offset. However, we are improving our support for CNC machines and similar mechanisms.

Do you have a 3D model a sketch and the RDK file with your attempts to create a 5-axis CNC? We can help you better.
