Problems running RoboDK on Windows 8

#1
The software setup is downloaded from the website and is installed on the computer.

After that whenever I try to start the software, it starts and immediately I get an error that RobotDK has stopped working(image attached).
and this error appears twice in a row.

on clicking on 'more details' option I get the following message.

I would really appreciate your help in solving this issue.

First, I recommend you to check if it is an issue with the graphics card:
  • Double click the file:
    C:/RoboDK/RoboDK-Safe-Start.bat
If it works, it means your graphic card drivers are outdated. I would recommend you to update the drivers.

If it doesn't work, I recommend you to follow these steps:
  • Start RoboDK by double clicking the file:
    C:/RoboDK/RoboDK-Debug.bat
  • Try to reproduce the problem until it crashes.
  • Right after the crash, send us the following file:
    C:/RoboDK/bin/RoboDK.debug.txt

Thank you so much for your reply. The software is not starting with 'C:/RoboDK/RoboDK-Safe-Start.bat' file. Also while starting the 'C:/RoboDK/RoboDK-Debug.bat' I am getting the same error. It shuts down with a RoboDK has stopped working message. I am attaching the RoboDK.debug.txt file with this message.

thanks

It looks like a problem with the graphic card or OpenGL compatibility.
Do you have a dedicated graphics card?
Are you running RoboDK on a virtual machine?

You mentioned this didn't work:
C:/RoboDK/RoboDK-Safe-Start.bat
What issues do you have?

While starting with C:/RoboDK/RoboDK-Safe-Start.bat, the software started and immediately I got the 'Robodk has stopped working' error. The same one I get while starting the software normally.

I think it's the problem with OpenGL compatibility.

Thank you so much. I have similar problem. Acording messags my problem related to my laptop Graphic card driver. How can I troubleshoot this problem?

Can you provide more information about your computer specifications? You need OpenGL 3.0 or later including support for shaders to properly run RoboDK.

If you are using RoboDK on an older computer you can try running RoboDK by manually double clicking the file:
C:/RoboDK/bin/RoboDK-GL2.exe

Hi Albert and other guys! Because in your conversation you asking, i have download robodk 4.0 (32-bit) in 32-bit Windows 7 Virtual Machine and it doesn't work. Even i open the files you write, i have the same problem. What can i do;

You may experience issues running through a virtual machine if you don't have proper support for OpenGL.

You can try running RoboDK by double clicking this file:
C:/RoboDK/RoboDK-Safe-Start.bat

Hi,
I got this problem recently, and my problem was my docking station.
I just had to unplug it, start RobotDK and replug it

Happy to help
