Hello All, 

Is it possible with python code and c3 bridge to read the contents (or part of the content) of a .src file on a Kuka robot. 
If so, can someone help me with the code?

Do you mean you want to retrieve a SRC program file from a KUKA controller?

You can do so by using the File Manager Addin it supports multiple controllers (including KUKA and many other controllers that support FTP, such as ABB, Fanuc, Motoman, ...):
