Good evening,
I would like to ask a question regarding RoboDK. We have purchased a six-axis Borunte 1820A robot, on which we have mounted a Riftek R62 series seam tracker sensor. I would like to inquire whether it is possible to connect all of these components within the RoboDK software, so that we can view the laser sensor data in real time.
Is such an integration feasible?
It is possible to integrate external sensors in RoboDK however this may require some work. You should not have any issues simulating and programming a robot arm like this Borunte robot.
We have integrated line scanners before, however, we have not integrated a Riftek laser seam tracker. We could help you create a custom Add-in for this purpose. Do you have more information about this sensor and how to gather scanner data using the API?

Thank you very much for the fast response. Initially, the idea is to connect the Riftek to a PLC, which we have already ordered. Then, the Riftek and the PLC will be connected to the robot, and all of this will be integrated into RoboDK.
When the laser receives data from the object it is scanning, this data should be displayed in the software, with the purpose of allowing the user to select, through the program, which edges of the object should be welded.
