Hello! I am a student at Politecnica university of Bucharest and I need help with my thesis. I need to simulate an ABB IRB 7720 robot for a pick and place application and i can’t find it in the library, it doesn’t exist, even though i import it, the rear axes are not exposed as standard kinematic joints in RoboDK because the software only supports the primary 6 DOF kinematic chain of the robot arm.
The additional rear mechanism is an internal structural axis group (counterbalance system, link bars, and stabilising actuators), not a set of programmable or independent joints. Since RoboDK doesn’t simulate internal linkage dynamics, those rear elements cannot be animated or driven in the software. They remain static, and only the 6 main joints (J1–J6) are available for motion simulation. If you can add the robot in library as soon as possible, i would be really grateful. Thank you!
