Hello,
Im thinking about buying the RoboDK software for programming/simulating ABB robots.
The reason is considering the high price for robotstudio yearly, the roboDK would be cheaper.
But what pro's and con's do you see when using the roboDK software?
What kind of issues have you encountered?
There is alot to read at the roboDK page but I want your honest opinion about the software.
Thank you.

Most people replying questions in this forum are part of the RoboDK team of RoboDK users. Let us know if you have some details about your project and we can help you started with RoboDK. The RoboDK trial is permissive enough to help you started with your proof of concept.
The main advantage of RoboDK is that you should be able to simulate and program any robot.

Hello, I have used ABB RobotStudio for a few years successfully. You can use RobotStudio without a license to review/edit RAPID code on the controller, and work with digital / analog inputs. The 'power pacs' 3d printing or machining are terrible. RobotStudio has really good tools for creating targets on surfaces and edges, and the teach pendant emulation is really good for learning the operation of the robot. Editing and debugging RAPID code with the free license is a must, as opposed to editing the code on the teach pendant. ABB's RobotStudio won design awards and is easy to use, but yearly expensive.
With all the positive things I can say about ABB RobotStudio, I recommend RoboDK. Albert and the support on the forums are top notch. ABB RAPID is my favorite programming language, and I still use RobotStudio every week.
What is your application or workflow?
Tony

Thank you, I am also quite hesitant about its price.
