RoboDK inventor plugin empty

I've tried with Inventor 2020 and Inventor Professional 2023, for some reason the robodk plugin is empty. I manually added the two needed files for the plugin and made sure they were loaded. Despite saying they were loaded the plugin panel was empty. Any fixes for this? I attached a picture of what it looked like.

found the solution, the objects that you import into inventor need to be simplified which I think makes the object into one part rather than multiple parts. I also think they can't be step files.
