Subroutine call from external file

Dear community! I would ask for your help on how exactly to call a subroutine from robodk. I see that in the spindle control this is called Spindle ();
I need to invoke the IO commands from an external file (Staubli CS8 controller) and as soon as it runs, the robot should continue the path.
I would be happy to take a sample program.
Using Run on Robot? Or using the post-processor?

If it's the former, I would recommend updating RDK to the latest version and looking at the parameters available under "Tools"->"Options"->"Driver".
