Trying to use the Tool DO with python

Im trying to set the Tool DO to use a gripper. I use robot.setDO(10,1) as mentioned in a previews thread that to use the tool a 1 was used before the designated output. 

It was mentioned that the file apiur.exe needed to be modified but it is not able to run it nor edit it. 

does anyone know how to use the tool outputs?
You should edit the apiur.exe ini file in your AppData folder and set the CONTROLLER_VERSION parameter to 5.
