macOS or Windows or Virtual Machine ?

#1
Hello,

I want to start using RoboDK and learn how to use the software. I have a MacBook Pro M1 Max.

Should I use RoboDK on macOS or should I use it on a virtual machine with Windows 10 ?
Is there any difference inside RoboDK when using it in macOS or Windows.

I want the full experience on the software.

Thank you !

You should be able to use RoboDK on Windows and Mac. On Mac, RoboDK should work with Intel and Apple silicon processors.

On the other hand, some features are not available on Mac, such as importing STEP and IGES files or exporting PDF simulations.

You can start with Mac OS and if at some point, the little few limitations we have with this platform limit you in your work, you can use the VM. Your work on Mac can be open on Windows and vice versa.
