Calibration Needed for Daihen Robot Model NB4L2-NEFN After Battery Rep

#1
Hi everyone,

I’ve replaced the encoder battery on my Daihen robot (Model NB4L2-NEFN, Serial No: 2L11230YZ5776101, manufactured in January 2015), which resolved the low battery error (E002). However, I now need help with the calibration process to get the robot back to its accurate positioning.

Current Status:
Battery replaced and error cleared.
Only calibration for accurate alignment is needed.
Could someone guide me through the calibration steps for this model? Specifically, I want to make sure all joints are properly calibrated.

Thanks in advance for any help!

You should recalibrate the zero position of each axis. Each robot manufacturer has its own procedure to reset this zero position. This procedure does not usually require a full robot calibration or even measurement system.

However, a full robot calibration can help you improve accuracy using an external measurement system such as a laser tracker. You can find more information here:

Do you have any more detailed instructions for OTC robots?
