It would be very helpful if you could add visibility feature to entire folder structure. Each component visibility would be preserved. Folder visibility overrides component visibility.
This comes with many positives.

We could implement this behavior with a custom plugin but it would alter the visibility state of children. Would that work for you?

You can change the visibility of multiple items using the View Utilities Add-in:

• Show/Hide all targets, cartesian targets or joint targets
  
• Show/Hide all but selected items
  
• Show/Hide program's targets
  
• Show/Hide robot's targets
  

If you still think it would be useful to add "Show/Hide children", let us know.
