Importing a previously created LS Program from a Fanuc Robot

#1
Hello,

I am using the educational license of RoboDK and I would like to modify some Fanuc programs (.LS) that have been created by someone else using RoboGuide.
I have the robot programs and the whole Image of the robot but I am not able to import these programs into the RoboDK environment as it gives me always the error in the attachment. Furthermore, I am not sure if I would get all the different target points if this action would succeed...

Can someone tell me whether it is possible to import Fanuc programs with all the different target points or not?
Or is RoboDK only used to create programs and not to modify existing ones which were not created with it?

Thanks a lot!

Did you properly select your robot in RoboDK? Can you share your RoboDK project file and the LS files you are trying to load? We can better take a look.

I just loaded the robot from the Robot library. When creating programs this was always enough... Is there something else to do?

You can find the project file and the LS files in the appendix. Probably there will be more LS files to import later, but if it works with these, then also the others will work.

The current version of RoboDK does not support loading LS files for Scara robots. However, we'll be publishing an update soon that will support loading LS files for Scara robots. This feature has not been extensively tested though.

You could create your own import script as well. For example, this script shows how to customize KUKA SRC file import:
