Maximum distance between robot targets

#1
Hi, I am using an ABB 6400 for milling. Is there any way to add targets inside RoboDK when the robot is moving a large distance in a straight line (not milling, just in the air from one operation to another). I have attached an image from my other robot software which has this function. The robot will stop and warn about too large movement if it does not get the intermediate coordinates. After hitting "ok" and "start" the program will continue which means constant monitoring.

Hi Mats,

RoboDK can split longer paths into smaller ones.

"Tools"->"Options"->"Program"

RoboDK won't warn you though. It will just do it at the post-processing stage.

Do you want to be warned?
And if so, why?

Thanks Jeremy,

I will try that. I guess the -1 means the function is disabled.

I do not need any warnings in RoboDK.
Right now the warning/error occurs in the robot (too large movement between robot joints) which means hitting "ok" on the teach pendant and then "start" and the program continues.

That solved my problem, splits the linear movements as expected.

Thanks

Hi Mats,

Good, and yes "-1" means "Disable".
