Modify robot behavior

Every time I click on 'modify robot' I get some random duplicate.....

And why is there 0 information on how to use the modify robot option?
And why does my robot origin stay somewhere at random 1000 millimeters in the Y direction after I 'reset' robot position?

This behavior is intended. You'll obtain the basic geometry used to create the mechanism when you want to edit the kinematics.
