Post Processor error ModuleNotFoundError No module named codecs

#1
Hi,

I am using a trial version of RoboDK.
Before purchasing a license I would like to try out some basic functions.
I have selected the black colored post processors. None of them work.
I get the following alert message:

Failed to generate program "MainWeldA" using the Post Processor "KUKA_KRC2"
Post processor path:C:/RoboDK/Posts/KUKA_KRC2.py
Fatal Python error: initfsencoding: unable to load the file system codec
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "C:\RoboDK\Python37\lib\encodings\__init__.py", line 31, in
ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'codecs'
Python Post Processor process exit code: 0

Can somebody help ?

Please update RoboDK and navigate to Tools-Options-Python and change the effective Python path to C:/RoboDK/Python-Embedded/, as we migrated away from Python 3.7.
Please read the Forum Guidelines before posting!

Hi Sam,

thank you for your prompt reply. It works now.

I changed the settings as to a Jeremy RoboDK video.; --- 01 - RoboDK Training - Tekniker - Installation and setup
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B61w3eOZ...kb&index=1

I believe this video is not up to date.

Thank you for your feedback. Just for your information, since June 2023 RoboDK uses its own version of Python (Python embedded). You can find more information about updates here:
