Problem with palletizing app on Mac

#1
Hello there,
i am using a Mac Sonoma 14.6 and have a problem using the palletizing app. When using either the palletizing or depalletizing the app changes the grab- and place- coordinates to absolutely wrong positions.
When using the "process"-button, the program Robodk gives me the message "unexpected error" and ends the program.
Is there another tutorial as described in the RoboDK documentation available?
Is there a video available?
In the sample stations I can't find a program that uses the palletizing app.

Thanks for your help,

Paul

Have you tried using the latest version of RoboDK for Mac? What version of the Palletizing Add-in do you have? You can see the version of the palletizing Add-in in the window title.

If you still have issues, could you please provide us with the RoboDK sample project and steps to reproduce the crash?

Hello Albert,
thanks for your quick reply.
The RoboDK Version is 5.9.0, palletizing app is V1.6.2

This is just a small training object. I first made a pick and place program, everything works like I want it.
When I use the palletizing app and follow the instructions in the documentation, the program doesn't really do what I expected, it to definitely make a mistake here. But I don`t know where my mistake is...
When I start the "project" button, I can chose the input frame. As soon as I want to fill in the output frame, the program closes with the attached message.

Once again,
thanks for all your help,

Paul

Thank you for this information.

We'll update RoboDK for Mac including the palletizing plugin in the next few days and get back to you on this thread.

Hello Albert, as there are so many issues with the program using Mac OS, is it possible to use the same license on a windows desktop?
#6
Yes, you should be able to use the license on your Windows PC or any other computer. Simply make sure to Deactivate the license on one computer (select Help-License) and activate it on another computer.

I'm sorry for the delays. We are working on this fix. We are hoping to release an update soon.

Hi Paul, I'm sorry for the delays, the update for Mac is ready and it includes the latest version of the Palletizing addin. It should be ready soon in the download page. In the meantime you can take the latsest version here:

Good morning Albert,
thanks for these news.
I downloaded the latest version, started the add-in-manager, it shows the palletizing app, but I can't enable it.
The add-in-manager seems to have a new layout too, am I doing something wrong again?? It shows the button "Action", shows the button enable, but it is not possible to enable it...
Sorry for all the trouble...
Thanks,
Paul

I'm sorry I may have forgotten to specify this: With the current version on Mac you should load the plugin from the pre-built list of plugins:
  1. Select Tools-Addins
  2. Double click on PluginPalletizing
You should see the Palletizing features under the Utilities menu. Let me know if you still have issues.
