ROBODK CAN'T CONNECT TO DENSO ROBOT

#1
Hello,

I've been trying to connect Robodk with Denso VP-6243G2U for online programming but the same error appears:

"Can not set to Work=WORK0
Can not set to Tool=TOOL0"

causing an Unknow status.

I have the latest version of Robodk and I have followed the instructions provided by robodk to connect with Denso robots. I believe I have edited the driver properly but when I try to connect the log shows this:

I hope you can help me.

Do you have a Denso RC8 controller?

Otherwise, you may need to configure additional controller connection settings as explained here:

I appreciate your quick response. No, this denso robot uses a RC7 controller and as you have mentioned I configured some values such as the "IS_RC8" that was set to false. In the image it can be seen how I configured this settings.

Good point, I missed the details you shared in the log.

Some features are not supported with Denso RC7 controllers, such as changing the tool.

Are you able to get the current joints? Can you move the robot from the connection menu?

At first, I get the "Unknown status", then I get "Ready" status if I hit "Stop" button but the only thing I can do is get the current position of the arm with "Get Position" button, if I try "Move Joints" or I execute a program on the robot with Robodk I got "Connection problems" in the log and it freezes until I hit "Disconnect".

In the Denso's Teach pendant WORK0 and TOOL0 are set by default so I don't know why there is an error.

It could be that remote control is not enabled with your controller (Denso's b-Cap server).

More information here:
https://robodk.com/doc/en/Robots-Denso.html#DensoBCAP

I'm not sure what else to try. It would be great if you can involve someone from Denso.

Yes, I was in contact with DENSO Support too, they told me that maybe a program from "RobMaster file" was missing in the controller because initially it seemed like an error from DENSO robot. They suggested following these instructuctions:

https://support.densorobotics.com/suppor...5-rc7-rc7m-

which also contained the instruction to enable the b-cap server but after completing all the steps the same problem remained, that's why I wanted help from RoboDK too.

I'm not sure what else to check. If you own a Professional RoboDK license you can contact us through Help-Request Support and we can try to help you troubleshoot remotely through a call.

@mvasquez.7 Did you receive a resolution to this problem? I've been having the same issues with my RC7 Controller.
