Reis SRV6L / RobotStar

#1
Hello,

I wanted to know if someone has experience running Reis robots with RoboDK.
There is a post processor for the RobotStar controller and a few Reis robots available but I'm looking for return of experience.

My robot is a Reis SRV6L from 1999, I got it working with its original controler (mostly in jog mode, haven't gotten into the teach pendant programming yet) but haven't sent programs to it.

I did a test station with a Reis RV10-6 and a quick contour operation from Fusion but haven't had time to try and send it to the controller yet (only takes floppy disks at the moment). So if anyone is familiar with Reis + RoboDK or Reis robots in general, I'm interested !

Thanks !

I attached the test station and the .job file I managed to generate with the RoboStar post processor.

You should be able to program your Reis robot using the Robotstar post processor and the JOB file you sent. I assume your controller is made by Robostar.

Let us know if you have any issues.

Hello, thank you for your answer.

I checked and I had a confusion :

The original Reis controler is called ROBOTstar and there is a post processor for RoboStar robots on RoboDK, but they are two different things.

So my question still remains, is there someone who managed to export from RoboDK to a Reis ROBOTstar controller ? Since a few Reis robots are in the database I guess it has been done but I can't find the post processor.

If I'm correct, the controler uses .MPR (or .SPR or .PLC) files.

Hello again,

I saw a Reis post processor at the end of the list, with a different icon.

When I post process using it, it generates a .txt with the following message at the top.
Code:
// *** WARNING: Invalid license or undefined post processor to generate code for Reis RV10-6***
// *** The following program will not work on the Reis RV10-6 controller ***
// *** For more information:  https://robodk.com/  ***

The rests looks like standard code.

I attached the complete file below.

Do you have any idea ? Thanks.

Our Robostar post processor generates JOB program files. You may need to change the post processor for your robot by right clicking on the robot, select Select Post Processor and then generate the program.

We may not have an official post processor that generates the files you need for your controller though.
