I am on a MacBook. Can I still download the Robodk plugin, and can the plugin be used on Onshape so that I can get cleaner paths for my welding arm?
Robodk didn't have the welding arm that I use. How would I go about adding a tool to Robodk that isn't in the tool library already? I have a laser welder with a mount for my robot arm.
I have used the create curves feature under tools, but the lines that are given to me aren't the lines that I need (they are weirdly short and give me different lengths of lines depending on where my mouse is). How do I create my own lines so that I can create a tool path for my welding arm?
The RoboDK plugin for OnShape uses RoboDK for Web so you should be able to use it on Mac as your project remains in a browser. You can then download your project and open it on the Desktop version of RoboDK.
What robot do you need to add to the library? If We need the 3D files of your robot (preferably STEP or IGES files) to add it to RoboDK. It would also help if you can provide a PDF sketch with dimensions and robot related information (payload, reach, etc).
I have installed the plugin on my Mac, but I have been having trouble using it because I am unsure whether I am using it correctly. I say this because whenever I open the plugin, a text appears, and it reads "Error while requesting document elements or parts. Error: Bad Request". I've tried this on multiple devices, and all of them show the same message, but I can still use RoboDK. I have read the blog post about the plugin, but I am still confused about how the plugin is supposed to work. I would love any additional information that could help me understand how to use the plugin.
I have attached the file to the laser welder I use. I will get the attachment that we put the laser welding into to attach to the arm and send it right away
Would it be possible to set up a meeting to discuss these problems I am facing? I am pretty new to using Robodk and have been having a hard time trying to get over many problems with no solutions or workarounds online. I would greatly appreciate it if you could help me out.
