DENSO Cobotta PRO

#1
Dear RoboDK Support Team,

I am working on a project involving the DENSO Cobotta PRO 900 robot, which is operated using the RC9 controller. I would like to confirm:

1. Does RoboDK currently support the DENSO RC9 controller (especially for Cobotta PRO 900)?
If so, is there a recommended post processor or communication method?
2. I have installed FileZilla and configured the correct IP address (10.1.1.198) and port (5007), but I’m still unable to connect the robot from RoboDK.
Could you provide any guidance or known limitations for communication with RC9?

Any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you very much for your support.

RoboDK added Denso RC9 post processor not so long ago: https://robodk.com/post/Denso-RC9. I am unsure of the FTP setup, as I tested by manually copying the files over. If your controller support FTP, ensure you are using the correct user and password.

User and password are correct.TCP/IP is open. On your software, are you able to connect to Cobotta Pro and control the robot with RoboDK?

RoboDK offers post processors to generate controller code (which you can transfer manually or for some controller, via FTP) and drivers for live remote control of the robot.
Apart from using FTP, it is not necessary to connect to the robot to use the post processor.

I have not personnaly tested our driver for RC7 and RC8 on the RC9, but it might work as is. Take a look at our documentation for Denso:
