Fanuc CRX 10iA robot connection with the driver

#1
Hello,

I am trying to connect the cobot Fanuc Crx-10iA to RoboDK. I have setted up all the IP adresses but still not able to connect.

The only succesful connection was with port 21, but that does not work for the get position / move joints / send program to robot etc.

I am not able to connect to PORT 2000.

Could you help me to connect to the robot?

Thank you.

To connect to the Fanuc robot using the driver you should follow the steps in this document:
https://robodk.com/doc/en/Robots-Fanuc.html#DriverFanuc

Port 21 is used for FTP. I would recommend you to use port 2000 or higher.

Dear RoboDK support,

Thank you for the investigation.

Current communication status is as follows;
(1) Cmd Ping: OK
(2) RoboDK Ping: OK
(3) Although pressing the connect button, no connection is established.

Best Regards,

Hi,

I am looking into this issue and would require more information. Would you please provide us with the options on the CRX-10iA and any further logs you can acquire?

Dear Raphael, arh

The options on CRX is like this.

-User Socket Messaging (R636 / R648) ⇒Not installed (to be added on 12 June)
-PC Interface (R641) ⇒ already installed
-Karel option to run PC files (R632) ⇒ already installed
The  ASCII Upload option will also be added in June.

Best Regards,

Hello Hiroe,

I believe the User Socket Messaging is required to use the driver. That would explain why it is not possible to connect to the robot.

Please let us know if the issue persists once the option has been installed so we can look further into the issue.

Dear Raphael,

The customer attempted to reconnect after installing the socket messaging option, but it failed.

Could you please review the attached error message and let me know if you notice any relevant information?

Best Regards,
Hiroe Ota

Dear Ota,

Did you follow the connection steps on the robot controller?
You can find this information here:
https://robodk.com/doc/en/Robots-Fanuc.html#DriverFanuc

Here are some ideas to help troubleshoot this issue:
  1. Did you properly use port 2000? It could be that this port is not available on the robot so you can use any other available port on the robot, then, properly update it in RoboDK.
  2. Do you see any warning or error messages on the log of the Fanuc controller teach pendant? The PC program should be running without issues.
Let us know so we can help you better.
